ASI Gymnastics held their Lollipop Meet in Garland today. Brier's team placed first at the last competition so we were looking for a repeat. Overall Brier made big improvements in her individual performances, especially since last time she only had a few weeks to learn the routines for all four events. The final team scores were very close. The Cedar Hill gym edged out Mesquite by 0.5 points for 1st Place. The cool part of the meet was instead of the girls getting ribbons for each individual performance, they received lollipops of different colors depending on their score. So instead of blue, red and white ribbons they would get a blue, red or green (for white) sucker. There's a history behind the Lollipop Meet but I hadn't taken the time to read it yet. Maybe check for it on their web site if you're interested.
