Have you heard the rumor that if you mix Mentos with Coke it will explode?  Reminded me of the urban legend of eating Pop Rocks and drinking soda.  Well, turns out it's not all made up as my brother shows below.  Poke a hole in the cap, stick a Mentos to the inside of the cap, put it back on the bottle and then drop the Mentos into the soda.  It shot out like crazy and we didn't even shake the bottle. 

On another note, my son said he took a facemask to the side in football practice on Friday and had to sit out until he caught his wind again.  He didn't think to show my the bruise it left until I saw it by accident on Saturday.  I told him he now has a battle scar!
